10 brain gadgets keeping you from falling

"Brainy What-Why-How"

Your weekly nibble of science-backed goodness to help you move better and feel unstoppable.

🧠

What (the TL:DR)

You’ve got 10 different vestibular organs.

Yep, ten little “which-way-is-up” sensors living rent-free in your head, making sure you don’t walk into walls.

Last week, I found 3 of them misbehaving in a private client.

Once we gave them a tune-up? Years of pain melted away and her body finally felt connected again. Boom 🤯

Why (the geeky neurology)

Because your vestibular system is basically the bossy big sibling of your brain. It sticks its nose into everything.

Go ahead, google “vestibular issues and __” — fill in the blank with anxiety, depression, chronic pain, hormone drama, ADHD… studies will pop up like mushrooms after rain. 🍄

It’s that influential .....and that complicated

— which is why I sneak general vestibular drills into classes. (Think of them like vitamin C: sometimes life-changing, sometimes just a harmless extra.)

But if we’re talking private sessions or your own nervous system… we go full detective mode🔍

Each semicircular canal and otolith organ gets interrogated until we find the one that's slacking off.

How (apply it to your life)

The vestibular system is way too big for a quick email (and I love you too much to bore you with a textbook).

So instead, here’s a juicy little sneak peek: a clip from my Applied Neurology training, straight from the vestibular module. 🎥

Stay dizzy-free my friend,
