We live in a society that's increasingly encouraging us to stop feeding our brains...
and instead seek out easy entertainment (and outrage).
Why (the geeky neurology)
Your brain -- at the end of the day -- is the only thing that's stopping utter insanity from taking over the world.
We need more people who can critically think and not get sucked into the over-simplified messages from...well... EVERYWHERE.
(I hope at this point you're questioning these words you're reading right now! Not because I'm trying to deceive you -- I would never! -- but because it's important to remember that there's ALWAYS more to ANY story. And most things online are parred down to accommodate our increasingly diminishing attention spans.)
How (apply it to your life)
Just as exercise is hard but necessary,
and meditating is difficult but so good for you,
it can be uncomfortable to question the messages we receive about how we should think, what we should believe, and what our opinions should be...
especially from the people on the same "side" as you.
Together we can become better listeners, showing kindness and respect to everyone! And that takes brain power!
